Viva’s Holiday Opera Gala

What’s Happening?

An opera based on Magic Gardens: The Memoirs of Viva Las Vegas. Composed by Christopher Andrew Corbell (Muse:forward, Classical Revolution PDX), libretto by Christopher and Viva, directed by Erica Melton (Opera Theater Oregon) and Pat Janowski (Post5 Theater et alia).

The world premiere happens December 2, 3, and 4 at the Star Theater in Portland.

What do we need?

Patrons of the arts! It takes a community to make an opera, and we believe we have created one that uniquely speaks to our city and our time. The beauty, energy, and courage of the Portland underground is the heart of this story.
